Different Carpet Cleaning Methods For Different Jobs
As professional carpet cleaners, there are a number of different methods we can use to accommodate different situations. Not all carpets are the same, and it is important that your carpet is only subjected to the right kind of cleaning agents and machines. You don’t want any undue stress on your carpet.
There are five basic methods of carpet cleaning, and it is important to make sure that only the right cleaners are used on your floors to keep the carpets looking good for many years to come.
Dry Extraction
This carpet cleaning method involves an absorbent compound of different detergents and solvents. This is injected into the carpet fibers and then, when it is vacuumed up, it will hold onto and pull up all the soils and other pollutants around it.
Dry Foam Extraction
Similar to regular dry extraction, this process uses a solution of cleaners on the carpet, but this time the solution is fluffed into thick foam as it is applied. When it has done its job on the carpet, it is removed with a wet vac.
Hot Water Extraction (Steam Cleaning)
This is one of the most common carpet cleaning methods, and many people often do this on their own. Basically, this cleaning process infuses a pressurized cleaning solution into the carpet which is then removed along with the dirt and soil.
Rotary Shampoo Method
This is another method often employed by home carpet cleaners. It is usually a simple machine that uses rotary brushes to inject the cleaning compound into the carpet and then immediately remove it along with the soil.
Absorbent Pad Method
This process should only be undertaken by professional carpet cleaners. It involves a machine that is a lot like a floor buffer. The pad on the bottom of it removes the dirt and soil very effectively, but if it is done wrong, it could damage the carpet.
The most important thing when it comes to deep cleaning your carpets is to use the methods that will give you the best results. For all of your NYC carpet cleaning needs we are, of course, always ready to consult with you on the best solutions.
